Day 35 – Partials, Partials Everywhere

Day 35 was the last day of the first week of Ruby! I learned a lot this week, not just about Ruby and Rails, but also about strategic app architecture. Being able to compare and contrast Ruby/Rails, and Python/Django along the way has been really helpful for me when it comes to seeing the big picture of web development. Day 8+9 – jQuery + APIs + AJAX

Day 8 really stepped up the difficulty with advanced jQuery. Well, now that I’m writing this the morning after day 9 it doesn’t seem like it was that hard, but yesterday was a bit of a struggle too. Day 5 – Yellow Belt Exam

The yellow belt exam was pretty much the same as the assignments we’d been doing for the past few days. Get a picture of a website, recreate it with HTML and CSS. The only difference was that this one was timed. The website I had to recreate was just marginally more complex than the ones I’d been recreating previously. Continue reading
